This presentation is designed to introduce people to avalanche safety.  It includes information about the basic types of avalanches, recognizing avalanche terrain and knowing how to use planning tools and route finding to avoid it, knowing ways in which weather contributes to avalanche hazard, recognizing how human factors can affect decision making in regards to avalanche terrain, knowing some of the local resources available, and hopefully gaining an understanding that more avalanche education is necessary to responsibly travel in avalanche terrain.
